the MTOD is a new feature of the blog.  it stands for the Mozambiquan Trivia of the Day.  It is an acronym given in honor of our swazi friends.  although the official language of swaziland is english, most swazis speak swati, a language complete with clicks and letter combinations we don’t use in english.  one of their favorites is the “m + consonant”  combination. so, the capital of swaziland is mbabane.  you kick off the word with a mmmm, as in mmm mmm, good.  then you move onto the bah-bahn.  so its mmm-bah-bahn.  My coworker there is mkhululi or mmm-kah-lu-lee.  and this section of the blog therefore is the MTOD, pronounced mmm-tod.
